Sarač craft or saddle leather crafting (leathercrafting) is a set of knowledge and skills related to the preparation of materials and production of leather items, primarily for the needs of equestrian activities, but also hunting, breeding and training dogs, etc. The process of crafting the leather products consists of several stages and includes: cutting the leather into desired shapes, processing the cut parts, hand sewing and perforating the leather, as well as stitching the leather with a sewing machine. This is followed by dyeing, smoothing and decorating (painting), stamping with dry and hot stamps, decorative engraving the surface of the leather, stapling (attaching staples to the leather items) and decorating with snaps. In the final stage of production, the parts are joined by hand and machine sewing, gluing, etc.
